For Trump victory means a better deal than the one we had in the first place; i.e. no charges for oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a change of government and a nuclear deal that is better than the one negotiated previously – on all 3 counts he appears to have lost. For Iran survival, retaining its nuclear supply of enriched uranium, charging for oil tankers to pass through S of H, retain its government, and getting billions of frozen funds released. I have not seen the details but it seems that Iran is relatively unscathed. Will Israel abide by ceasefire in Lebanon? This is doubtful and sanctions against them unthinkable for their influence is paramount!
Respect for the Frenchvillage of Lagrune-sur-Mer, which for speaking out against the fascist Pete Hegseth (also US Defence Secretary). Their protest went viral. Just like the 20.000 peace protestors in Belfast the vast majority of people do not want right wing fanaticism, and certainly do not want mob rule by those who try to impose it by force. Voters in Switzerland voted in a referendum NOT to limit the population to 10 million which would have meant tight rules on migration (and fucked the makeup of future Swiss football teams!).
