Facebook and Instagram owner Meta has agreed to pay up to $17.1bn (£12.57bn) to settle claims brought by 29 US states that its platforms harmed children. What is sad is that it could have done something to protect children before being forced to do so, and that the settlement is all small change to the $trillion business. It is still subject to the courts approval.
