Local elections
It seems Labour has not done very well. How is this possible with such a corrupt useless government? I know there are local issues and amazing candidates who will sway results. But Labour should be very worried. I thought Starmer would be ok – I was wrong. Angela Rayner should take over immediately.
VOTING
I would rather cut my hand off than vote for the nasty party. However there is now a dilemma, Starmer has taken the Labour Party to the right of some conservatives in his pursuit of victory in a general election. Would I rather a Starmer government than a Johnson/Sunak one? Of course, but we do not live in a bi-polar world where it is either / or. I have voted LibDem in the past in constituencies where labour stood no chance.
SUNAK
Should his wife be Non Dom. It is not the legality but the morality. I think the non-dom scheme was designed for those staying in this country on a non permanent basis – a contract of a few years. Presumably Akshata Murty is intending to stay permanently, or maybe Rishi and her will do a flit to California if he is not not elected PM?

ENERGY
So the government is going to backtrack on onshore wind farms due to anti-net zero mob and landowners. The big hope is nuclear energy but there are problems with this strategy. Firstly the time lag before a station comes on line is about 15 years. Secondly the cost spirals upward as delays and problems occur. Thirdly the waste problem has been forgotten, not solved. So whilst nuclear probably has a place in the future mix is should not be a large one.
Wind, solar and batteries have come down in cost by between 50-85%. and could fall further. Renewable energy is 100% likely to be far cheaper than nuclear, faster to instal and greener. We have moved through different ages from the wood age, to charcoal, to coal, to gas and the future is the electric age. Most of us have at least 20 electric powered goods in the house requiring plus or batteries excluding lighting and heating.

Ask me who god is? I have no way of forming a framework to answer? Ask me to justify how Elon Musk has amassed $289billion and I have the same response. He has bought 9.2% of twitter. And he is not alone in this stratosphere of fantasy wealth. All systems build on imaginary beliefs break eventually.
