The decision to leave was not based on facts but emotion – FACT! I also believe that people are unwilling to admit they were wrong – so we are stuck with it. Even if a trade deal is done this week there will be chaos. This is just another fact. Industries do not know yet what paperwork they will need as it has not been created yet, as we still do not know the nature of the deal/no deal. To get a deal done it almost certainly needs a border affecting Northern Ireland, either land or Irish Sea, either will have severe repercussions, which will affect us all.

I don’t really care much about cars, except when they go wrong! Mine is not basically going wrong, rather just weird! I went for a drive and on return parked and locked the car. 30 minutes later the alarm went off! And the key would not work. Eventually having spent ages trying to work out how to use the manual key, I shut it off by starting it and turning it off again! Just like a computer really. Anyway it was due its MOT so I took it to the garage and told Mr.Humphry – I think he thought I was more than a bit bonkers, but then it did it to him whilst parked outside waiting for its MOT. He thinks it may have something to do with the boot door – but really has not got a clue. It also would not allow me to put my phone number into wherever the phone number goes via settings. I will find out tomorrow.

Positive stats at last. North Somerset down by 25% on last week. However, after a fall in Wales due to their lockdown, their numbers are rising again. If this pattern is repeated we will see rising numbers here around about the 14th Dec. Being cynical – the Government is waiting to announce new tiers until Thursday so as few as possible enter the top tier!

Saw Maz, Archie and Adam for first time since February. All good. Adam won 3-1 against Exeter and scored the third. Erin gave me a great painting.

I don’t think I ever had one before. Thanks Mart – and a surprise parcel was also a brilliant novelty. Smashing.

Enough of politics. I sometimes wonder if I am weird. I remember so much weird stuff, and forget much that is important! Have a virtual friend. Have the most vivid dreams that can be really weird! And then the random thoughts. Other people do not seem to have them?

50 years too late, but done at last, it is now illegal to hit/abuse children in Scotland. Will England ever follow suit?

Denmark to cull 17 million mink. Why are they breeding them ing the first place – I thought animal skin coats, etc. were banned in the EU? It is time to re-evaluate our relationship with animals. I am not suggesting vegan, but certainly a more respectful relationship. Eat less meat and dairy (ouch that hurts!), but totally essential. Schools should be teaching cooking to all students, with emphasis on techniques.
