COVID

Schools are being told they must reopen regardless in January. Will that have been enough of a break to cut back on the Omicron variant? Children are quite likely to have the virus without being aware, so there could be another spike in January.

My niece tested positive for it on the last day of her isolation, so it might be more resistant that previously thought?

My daughter also pointed out that with the virus infecting so many more people there is a bigger chance of further mutations?

On a positive note I hope the virus will have run its course and mutate in a benign way. The government has just ordered another £2.2billion worth of vaccines (114 million doses @ £20 each?) so I guess the overall outlook is not good at present.
