EPIDEMIOLOGY

The geographical patterns that seem to be established so far – and I stand to be corrected.

In the UK the original virus and Omicron variant seem to have hit the metropolis of London first and hardest. Then spread to other metropolitan districts, although there seem to be exceptions.

Old and vulnerable groups have been hit hardest. A fact that was made so much worse by a poor government decision (insert your own pause here!).

Poor and migrant groups seem to have been hit hardest, with the most obvious explanation being for and overcrowded housing. Although scepticism of anything this government says is a possibility!

What we have not seen so far is detailed analysis of these trends. It appears that vaccination will not stop the virus, but lesson its effects. How have measures such as lockdown, and partial lockdown affected the spread of the virus and its variant? These need to be analysed to examine their benefit in spreading the infection rate out – and thus preserving the remnants of the NHS from collapse. What is the cost benefit in economic terms of various measures? Or is it all done on the whim of the Chief Spllffer and his minions like sleaze-dogg and assorted mongrels of no morality?
