THE BOY DUN WELL

What a difference a good speech writer and a functioning brain away from halluciagenics can make. Of course I am refering to the speech Charlie made to Congress yesterday. I am sure most of it went of the space cadets head, but he managed to quote Oscar Wilde, and refer to Charles Dickens, Kissinger, Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt whilst also making pointed reference to Epstein, Ukraine, climate crisis and the Royal Navy. Most potently he refered to the Magna Carta and its refence in 160 Supreme Court rulings. Democrats in the room were ecstatic whilst others were just confused. He did not use bombastic language and his subtlety was wasted on those used to temper tantrums by their leader. Well done speech writers!

Meanwhile in the UK the Court of Appeal stated hearing the govenments defence of the proscription of Palestinian Action as a terrorist group. The government is an ass; more than 3000 people, some in the eighties, have been arrested for holding up a piece of cardboard stating ‘ I oppose genocide – I support Palestian Action’. Who the fuck is stupid and autocratic enough to deem aharmless act of protest illegal. obviously the government. I thought the courts were overwhelmed by acts of criminals. Perhaps the government should consider the IsraelibGovernment as a terrorist organisation and prosecute all those companies who line their pockets with the proceeds of genocide and the bodies of the tens of thousands of innocent victims.

Getting it wrong seems to be a theme for this government – despite Reeves saying she was considering a rent freeze – number 10 have refuted the idea. Those idealistic MP’s who were voted in as Labour Candidates must pondering their decision now. We are often remembered for our mistakes rather than the successes? This government will pay on 7 May – many people will vote against the government, not because of fundamental disagreement, but because the promises of a new beginning have not been fulfilled, the same old smoke screens and twaddle are being pedalled whilst the fat cats reign supreme. How can there be any moral argument against a rent freeze? Or nationalisation of water, and electricity and power.

Bright sunshine and a chilly northeast wind. Plants in greenhouse looking ok – maybe next week I will move them up to their adult plant pots!
