I am thinking that I might have to make smaller ones to post this year? Although one I posted last year never arrived!? So here is the recipe which I will base what I am going to make on! Its a 6″ cake tin. Recipe

Another basic recipe but again can be adapted with addition of nuts, etc.

Quick easy and can be modified! Basic recipe.

Add chopped rosemary, basil, oregano, chilli, pepper, dried red pepper, olives, onions, dried tomato. I might have a go at a variety tomorrow!

I am looking at the moment – thinking about a basic cake mixture with ground nuts and something fragrant. I guess a lemon icing will always cover up mistakes? And also thinking about the moisture of fruit in a cake. And then it might be time to start a xmas cake soon.

Xmas is coming. This recipe for mulled wine is interesting for the technique as much as the contents. You might need to take out a mortgage for a vanilla pod though! Further recipes are being added. Mulled cider fur us ere in Summerset!

I could forget the lamb and just eat these – which I will try out!

Vegetables for lamb

Oven 170c: Filing : 250g dates; 250g apple; 100ml water; juice 1 lemon or lime; 2tbs brown sugar; 30g butter. Stew for a few minutes.

Outer : 175g oats; 175g s-r flour; 125g brown sugar; 175g butter. Mix.

Cook 20 or more minutes.
