Interesting things that existed before Satnav. Personally I prefer to have some awareness of where I am going before departure. One big problem with satnav is that you do not get to see what is nearby and maybe interesting. And that is a thing really – getting from a to b is fine, but boring. I am thinking that the next time I can go to Cornwall, or more likely on the way back (as I will not have the attraction), I will deviate fromnm the boring M5 where I know I will exceed the speed limit through boredom. The down side is whether small villages want me to pollute their air and roads as I travel through!
