Why are women football teams always named women as a suffix? American sports use different suffix for different sports – we should do the same for womens’ sport.

The latest table shows the field bunching up. Harvey and Lola are catching up. With 16 points available for the winner each week the table can change rapidly.

Bragging rights. Having wallowed at the bottom of our little league table for a while I am on a roll this week with 6 correct results including 3 correct scores out of the 8 games so far! Week 14 can be viewed here

So far we have only 2 correct scores Adam and Archie correctly getting 4-0 for Liverpool v Southampton. Most got Arsenal result correct but only a couple correctly forecast Villa win at CP (Will the Gerrard effect continue?). Are draws harder to predict? But 6 of us got Brighton v Leeds but only 3 got Norwich v Wolves. So 40% of games 0-0, of 70 predictions zero said 0-0?

Solskajaer is likely to be sacked any day soon.

He will get a hefty payoff and probably will never actually need to work again so no tears! 7th in the league and 6 points behind West Ham a European Championship place is still possible, but Utd may regret not having acted before the international break like Aston Villa and Norwich. Who would go to Utd? They have tried most types of manager in last 7 years. Their team has potential, but also too many who at present are not looking quite good enough. Rashford and McTominey may look elsewhere to develop their skills, Pogba whilst consistently one of their best players has not shown the leadership qualities of a Gerrard, Lambert or Terry. In fact this is probably their biggest problem – lack of leadership.

Archie and Adam get off to a flying start getting Chelsea result spot on. This afternoon sees a record number of fixtures with Liverpool Arsenal being the late fixture. I have put all 5 afternoon games down for a draw! I guess this means that Wolves and WHU will be a draw as it is my only selection with a winner (WHU).

FA Cup First Round replays tonight – 11 of them. Including the gas, the pilgrims, the grecians and Cheltenham Robins. Oh and Wales vs Belgium. Wales already have a play off slot, but need at least a draw to get a home advantage. Czech Rep will probably beat Estonia, and it will depend on the goal difference if Wales lose and Czech win – I think a 2 goal difference in either game will make Wales have an away draw.
