NUTS

The murder of Charlie Kirk was wrong – like all murders; but the mindless bollox spouted by Trump and Farage is also wrong – possibly worse. Trump and fellow fanatics have been calling for revenge, farage in the Daily Fucking Mail has responsibility for the murder at the doors of the left. They cannot be so stupid to see that it is their own rhetoric of hate that spawns this violence. The demonstrations against the genocide in Gaza have been generally peaceful whilst those on the right outside Asylum hotels have been tinged with the threat of violence. In these situations we need our political leaders to be calm and dispel the hatred, not trying to whip up more disharmony in our already fractured society. farage is also wrong – the evidence so far (and he does not care about evidence) appears to lay the focus on Kirks anti-trans rhetoric. Whilst his views were appalling and nasty – the individual is entitled to heinious views – the blame also lies with media coverage of extremists comments. people like him should be shunned in the pub and certainly not allowed to spout crap on TV, Press and other media outlets.

So I regret his death but will not mourn the C***!

STARMER

He should go – but the alternative? Surely not a GE! Is there anyone in the Labour Party who could take over? Possibly Ed.Milliband? With A.Rayner as deputy (Is it too soon to resurrect her?). The Labour Party needs to rediscover its left wing roots – winning regardless is not something it can do (unlike the Conservative Party – and I am not being prejudiced here – the Tory Party’s philosophy does not have the same criteria as Labour).

The population want a vision for the future, Starmer does not offer this. He is not identified as having common ground with most of the public – Labours win at the last election was more of a rejection of the Tories than a vote for him! His obsession with Reform is embarrassing – they will wither if confronted with a vision for the future rather than having the fears they implant in society magnified. Basically stop the small boats and they have nothing but pure racism. France cannot be expected to be of a major help here with its own Government in turmoil – maybe a fast track system of processing those with papers – and returning those without the documents? Whatever – there has to be some humanitarian solutions – 50000 people paying £1000 each?

Back to Labour – Starmer has to go. Too many wrong decisions – he seems to make decisions made on the probability of winning votes rather than any ideology. Remember that Corbyn, who made a number of blunders whilst leader of Labour, got more votes than Starmer (and he was up against the charismatic buffoon Johnson, rather than washed out Sunak). Zac Polanski will cut into Labour votes, especially in cities in the south. Lib Dems will maintain presence via their outstanding local networks in many places. Conservatives may make a come back, although neither Badenoch or Jenrick seem suited to reclaim the middle ground of conservitive supporters.

Labour Party Conference should be interesting? With Angela banished there is no real threat to Starmer other than the articulate Union Leaders!

ISRAEL SUCKS

When it is very bad and could not be worse, Israel manages to sink even lower in the mire! Thy have made the world a less safe place. Trump has shown that he is weaker than Biden (at least Biden did not parade his weaknesses for all to see. By attacking Qatar Israel has set a precedent where attacking peace talks wherever is acceptable. By not expelling the Israeli Ambassador and not refusing entry to Israeli politicians the UK government is complicit in the aggression. Lammy states that the UK Government has “not concluded that Israel is commiting genocide in Gaza”. 50000+ deaths, Israel destroying housing blocks and ordering residents to move, sniper deaths, attacks on aid workers and journalists, genocidal statements from several Israeli Cabinet members – how much more evidence does he need? The UK Government has seen itself as a peace broker at times on a variety of conflicts. Bombing London if peace tallks were held here is acceptable???

So we have an act of aggression against an allie and the trash papers lead with comments about Mandelson and Epstein meeting in 2003. I think the dates are correct? Oh and the Times front page also gives climate deniers a boost. Do we live in an age of factual denial and false news? Zac Polanski is correct when he states that people do not want to hear about climatic armageddon on a daily basis – but we are not ostriches! I do not believe that the public is so thick that it does not understand the facts and scince about climate change. They quite possibly may deny the facts to protect their fragile mind sets, or even to compensate for the their dire economic state, they may hope that denial of the facts will delay the inevitable despite it being fucking obvious! The only thing I would dispute is those who who put a timeline on it. Is there a tipping point, will albedo and the Arctic methane be a trigger? Are humans clever enough to find a solution? (not without recognising the problem!).

Oh and Johnson was a clever liar and cheat! Well who knew!

EDUCATION

I have been pondering this subject for a while. Why do we subject children to 100+ externally assessed exams – stress and only really testing a few skills. So I finally have a proposal. Compulsory exxams in only Maths and English Language. That is what most employers want. Other subjects could be teacher assessed with perhsps a single skills test in subjects they may want to continue to A level or degree. We know that many children have to opt for subjects outside their comfort zone or interest, that is fine, but why force them to sit a formal examination in them? Teacher assessments should have grade boundaries and set standards that are published. Accreditation in a subject should still be worth achieving. I suspect most employers just require a certain standard of English and Maths, job related skills are probably better assessed by the employer anyway. This plan woukld save £millions in exam fees and resits, etc. but also reduce stress and make education more fun – as it should be. New subjects like politics, coding and personal finance could be introduced – and maybe more one year courses?

So exterminate the stress of GCSE’s, I would also do away with SAT’s – the world was no worse before they were introduced – many would claim better.

THE END

Are we seeing the end of politics as we know it? Fanatics will rule the roost. facts and experts ignored as the public sakes its thirst on the altar of ignorance? Gone are the days of respect for opposing views.  “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it,”. Now it is “I will say whatever I want whether true of not”.

Traditional politics were – Conservatives cutting taxes red tape, Labour using taxes to help the disadvantaged and the rights of workers, a vast over simplificaton I know. LibDems were largely a bye-election party, the greens an irrelevance, and the rest were lunatics on the fringe. I did not vote for them, but respected their philosophy that I beleived to be wrong. That changed with Thatcher’s hatred of the working class.

Now we have the fringe being welcomed by the fearful, jealous, angry, stupid and bigoted. Especially the bigoted – the person who deems facts that contradict them as irrelevant. Patriotism and nationalism are archaic terms that I had hoped would be banished from the vocabulary by now – but it is raising its ugly head again – let us hope it does not results in millions of deaths like before!

CRAZY LUNATICS OR DANGEROUS PSYCHOPATHS?

My mind was already made up before they gave the podium at their annual conference for this! “Aseem Malhotra claimed ‘eminent oncologist’ said jab was ‘significant factor in the cancer of members of royal family’”. Farage also back tracks from saying that he has bought a house in Clacton (he stated this at the time to counter criticism that he never visited), to now saying that his wife bought it and that has nothing to do with avoiding £44000 in tax! He should just fess up and pay the tax.

EVERY CLOUD

Has a silver lining. yes Angela has resigned, and yes she was sort of found guilty of breaking the ministerial code in a rather minor way. So now she is freed of the code of “Cabinet responsibility”. She has been loyal to Starmer – a fact that many despaired of!. She will find plenty of back bench support if she chooses to speak out on the issues she cares about. Labour meanwhile appears to have shifted further to the right Lammy has already cosied up to JD Vance.

Meanwhile the Traitor Farage is given a free pass to talk whatever bollox he likes (whilst evading tax) and the public are suckered into his rhetoric of hate and lies. I never thought I would mourn the death of the nasty party – but Badenoch and Jenryck have opened a competition with Reform as to who can say the most outrageous bollocks. The trash papers might regard it as a pyhric victory – who will they pick on with such enthusisam next? Starmer is further to the right than many could have conceived – I for one believed that a Labour victory was better than nothing, how wrong i have been. Starmer could well hand a victory to Farage; especially with Rayner gone; and then the country is REALLY AND TOTALLY FUCKED!

Basically now is the time to introduce legislation for Proportional Representation. Do not have a referendum that money and foreign powers can influence. With PR we (the silent majority) will ensure that we do not lurch into fascism. The Green Party will grow and the Westminster elite wither. yes Reform may gain some short lived gains due to their racism and ridiculous tax promises – but the bastards will not gain the support of the majority (I have faith in the electorate!).

SEPTEMBER

Has definitely crept upon us. Trees begining to turn their leaves brown as they recall nutrients from their outer limits. Even the tomatoes are on go slow. It was chilly this morning having a shower and for the first time in months I had to close the bathroom window.

I am waiting with bated breath to find out what the standards advisor reports later today. If guilty as charged it will be like finding out that Mother Teresa was a former Nazi guard, gary Lineker hates crisps and the world actually is flat!

I will get back to preparing pickled shallots – an excuse for crying!

HATE

Oh how the press hate Angela Raynor. She appears to have made an honest mistake but is being castigated for it. Boris lied repeatedly to Parliament but was not treated with such hostility. I think it was Hunt who ‘forgot’ to mention that he owned several properties in his Parliamentary disclosures. Jenrick attempted to rush through a planning proposal. All these were forgotten and hardly mentioned. Rayner will be lucky to survive politically.

Meanwhile Jenrick has called for asylum seekers to be housed in camps, presumably with gun towers to keep the poor souls in! Does he understand what asylum seekers have been through? I am surprised he has not called for them to be humiliated first! Against International Law? Then withdraw from the law (even though we inspired and mainly wrote them!).

Basically the opposition in Parliament consists of the Tories who are irrelevant; Reform who are an embarrassment; LibDems – nice but small; The Greens who need some of Zac’s enhancement techniques; and the SNP who have withered despite providing a conscience for the last Parliament.

Trump continues to use ICE to load up planes with migrants (mainly illegal but not all) and send them to their fates – the latest lack of humanity was sending a deserter from the Russian Army to Moscow where he was arrested. They could have at least sent him to Kiev!

Congratulations to cosmetic compant LUSH. It closed its stores across the country in solidarity with Gaza – and before the fascists comment – and they stated that they would rather have provided food, but the Israelis would not allow it.

RAYNER

Is there nothing better for the papers to comment upon? Even the Guardian was at it again today – despite printing that she is unable to explain the details due to a court order! They all have a go as she is not paying council tax on her grace a favour apartment in Westminster – frankly I am appalled that she is asked to do so – Surely HM Government should pay as she is required to be in London so much. Her home in Ashton-under-Lyme has been put in a trust for her children who live there alternately with their father (Angela’s ex). This seems to be an admirable arrangement. So she only actually owns one property – so what is the fuss about? Oh – she is firstly a woman, secondly was an unmarried mum at 16, third she grew up on a council estate AND she has the termerity to become deputy Prime Minister! She is also on the left of the recently moved right wing Labour Party.

If only the press were as diligent is chasing millionaires for their money, even Farage for taking a pension from the EU and also a Parliamentary MP’s wage whilst being absent for much of the time.

Other news – The Greens have elected a new leader in Zac Polanski. Already the shit is being thrown – he was once a hypnotherapist who said he could increase womens breast size. I am sure the papers will capitalise on this, despite it being years ago. Shame he cannot do something to the balls of many journalists. However the Greens need to come out of the shadows and rattle some cages – BBC QT?

Kim Jon-un, V.Putin and Jinping Xi are meeting in Beijing. It makes sense for the 3 largest military powers in the East to meet (sorry India, it should be 3 of the 4!). China has a rapidly expanding navy so should we be worried? I guess that with Trump acting at random, there is a void in many areas. Israel must be sucking a lot of America’s military spending. He seems unaware of the saying by Spiderman “with power comes great responsibility”. Taiwan should be worried! Yes but also other nations with disputed territories/islands – like Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines must also be aware of the potential threats.

In Europe Spain has said it will not meet Trumps demand for 5% of GNP to be spent on the military. Firstly how much of that expenditure would come to the USA? Secondly – in the 21st century it is very sad that we should spend so much to combat fear and medieval threats.
