RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

Hitchhiking used to be common and lots of fun but has disappeared with the growth of the economy (not always a good thing). I used to come off the motorway at every junction until I could pick someone up – it just seemed the righting to do.

There are obviously many examples of greater significance – thinking of Marcus Rashford here, and maybe even Mario Ballatelli (ok giving away £1000 won at a casino might not be the best example – or is it?).

I hope I have done my own little bit (I have offered accommodation to 3 people in dire need for a short period of time). I gave half my remaining money to someone who had had their money stolen whilst on holiday (and was repayed 6 months later). But it is not the size of the gesture, but the gesture itself that counts.
