If there had been tariffs their goods would have become more expensive. What has not been talked about in the press much is the financial service industry where we have been dominant world wide. Already some major firms have moved out of the City. I think I am correct in saying that there is no deal yet on this sector of the economy? If I am correct the shit will hit the fan!

But then this was never about economic sense, yet again rich tory toffs conned working class people for their own ends. When will they ever learn? One problem is that the toffs became so cocksure they forgot to revise the difference between sovereignty and control. We have back our Sovereignty (of a sorts), but as for control! The was handed to multi-nationals a long time ago. The IMF and World Bank have a major influence over financial decisions. Whilst the government may find the bonus’s paid out by large banks and firms embarrassing, they are powerless to stop them (especially with Brexit reducing the economy). Amazon, etc. avoid paying taxes which cripple shops on the High Street, but are immune to UK government action. The EU might be big enough to take them on, but HMS United Kingdom is powerless. It is like watching a CarryOn film – funny in the futility of those attempting to be in charge.
