As middle class parents, who have supported children through university, find that there are not the jobs or security for them that they wished for, they might start questioning things? With wealth being concentrated in the hands of a few, m it is not the working class (who have already been disposed of their union support structures), but the middle classes who find that their children cannot afford house prices, get appropriate jobs, and see an opaque fog coming over their future aspirations. Is this what we are seeing in the demonstrations in Bristol recently? Basically a reaction to the perceived unfairness of society and the status quo?
A wise government would be listening to the jungle drums out their – rather than getting studies to reinforce their prejudices.
