I agree with Rees-Mogg’s statement below.
However, Leader of the House of Commons Mr Rees-Mogg said he did not think the Bristol verdict put other monuments at risk.

What a shambles he is. Humiliated by Angela Rayner his attitude was obnoxious and rude – Sarah Murphy on twitter said it clearly.
sarah murphy@13sarahmurphy. Johnson at PMQs – just a catastrophe of a man… a disgraceful, shouting liar, pointing and raging and talking absolute rubbish. What a shameful spectacle. And so profoundly disrespectful… to Parliament and to all of us. He is utterly revoltingly unforgivably loathsome.
4 of the people responsible for toppling the statue of slave trader Edward Colston were found not guilty by a court in Bristol. This was despite their pursuit by Home Secretary Priti Patel who spoke to the Chief Constable of Avon and Somerset to demand action, setting a dangerous precedent of political interference in police matters.
This seems to be something that is only scrutinised in Parliament or on an ad hoc basis. Covid contracts handed out without proper scrutiny, etc. So where does the vast amount shown below actually go? Some of the headings are also rather vague (Law Officers’ Departments, Single Intelligence Account, etc.)?
How global is the establishment? We will find out today. I am sure Virginia Giuffre is trying to take Andrew Windsor to the cleaners after having got a $500000 settlement from Epstein. However in my book you cannot bought off! We will see if the Mafia philosophy propounded by Windsor will prevail. It will be interesting to see how the gutter press (Telegraph, Mail, Express, Sun) in particular react. Even if let off it is a fact that he was a ‘good’ friend of a rather sordid individual and a convicted sex trafficker, he was welcome in the villas and planes and apartments where abuse is alleged to have taken place.
