NOT A NICE PERSON

OK, nothing new in saying that Trump is a poor excuse for a human being, but it needs repeating that is response to Ilhan Omar was abhorrent. He stated that she probably staged it herself. His likely use of force against Iran will also result in the deaths of many civilians. I will state that the regeime in Iran is particularly nasty, with possibly around 30000 deaths during the recent protests and deserves to be overthrown. However a violent coup, and Trump has used the word violence in his comments of what might happen, is only a start of something better if there is an administration to take over. Perhaps he sees himself sitting on the Peacock Throne as Shah of Iran, to add to his titles recently acquired (Overlord of Gaza, President and ruler of Venezuela and wannabe Snowking of Greenland).

Starmer is in China and that is a good thing! With relationships with America under scrutiny it is sensible to strengthen alliances with other nations. I am sure there are good reasons to be careful in any relationship with China, but isolation is never a good idea. Meanwhile at home Labour are backtracking on just about everything. Social security changes put off, probably forever; Rental reforms to standards of accomodation delay for a decade; Pub business rates, whatever. They really seem to be struggling Announcing spending on things like SEND are not vote winners. What people need is a vision clearly enunciated (Andy Burnham where are you?). The upcoming byelection in Manchester looks like a three way split between Labour, Reform and the Greens. Reform seem to have hit a stasis with abot 30% of the electorate being too thick to understand the con. Nearly 50% of the electorate in the constituency is defined as ethnic, will Labour hold its ground (big majority last time), or will Zac lead the Greens to a memorable victory? Labour have started attacking the Greens drug policy – which is strange as it makes sense to anyone with a functioning brain! My only reservation about legalising drugs in the same manner that other places do – is where will the criminal gangs get their income from?

Sun shining but still cold and damp, more rain forecast for this area, but no floods near here.

PROVOCATION

So Vance and Rubio will be ‘protected’ by ICE agaents when they visit Italy during the Winter Olympics. This is designed to provoke a reaction; there can be no reason why Customs and Immigration Enforcement Officers are needed to protect US Government Officials abroad. I am sure the role has been carried out another agency in the past without mishaps. Why would Trump wish to deploy masked thugs at the Winter Olympics?

Meanwhile in the UK Reform have publicised that Goodwin will be their candidate – a man who says that being British involves more than a piece of paper – basically he is stating that it is skin colour that makes one British. As I stated a couple of days ago, I was born in Essex and have no record of any immigrants in my family, but I am not claiming to be British – I am me! I disassociate myself from these horrible racist bigots. With both Labour and Conservatives a shambles and LibDems being the ‘nice’ Party it may become a straight fight between the resurgent Greens and the racists. The ‘grooming gangs’ of nearby Oldham and Rochdale could be an issue? Labour tried too hard to be politically correct – when it comes to people, especially children evil needs to be called out. I am aware that most child abuse is by white men, often racist Reform voters, but not exclusively. The zionist state of Israel has killed thousands of Palestinians (and thousands of those were totally innocent children), so why hide behind a “I am not anti-semitic’, if Asian gangs are preying on vulnerable children from care homes, call them out (and sort out the care homes!). But do not victimise all jews and asians, or any other minorities – we have not slumped to the depths of the USA .. yet. Voting for Reform is an act of cowardice – not in the face of others, but in facing their own inadequacies.

Bloody cold this morning and more rain forecast -bring on the season of hope and renewal – Spring.

CRIME

So the murderer of Alex Pretti has gone into hiding – probably with support from ICE and even Trump himself. In fact I think it was not murder, but an execution of an unarmed man who was being restrained by several officers. And the 5 year old taken into custody by ICE is still being held. Republicans are begining to voice alarm and dissent, impeachment of Trump and his cronies is imperative – possibly at Alcatraz?

In the UK both the traditional parties are in tatters and damage control mode. Starmer because he acted like a dictator in preventing Andy Burnham from standing for Parliament – at lest 50 Labour MP’s have written a letter condemning his actions. Meanwhile over at the Tory hutch another prominent former Minister has defected to Reform or is it relate? Tory members are going purple as the HQ mentioned a mental breakdown by Braverman. Quite why they are so upset is beyond me, Suella has long been suffering from delusions and fantasy. Will the American model of bi-partite parties continue – on this side of the Atlantic it seems doomed. In the US even billionaires in the past have made no inroads the hegemony, maybe things are about to change?

Also interesting that the Daily Mails attempt to argue against the case brought by one of the royals and other media stars who allege phone tapping and surveillance, is not a denial but an attempt to claim it is timed out! And the Sun and Murdoch have already paid out more than $1 billion to keep things out of court! The Fourth Estate is a disgrace!

With the rather wet weather recently I wonder how many of the trash media will report that 10 countries have signed an agreement to create a North Sea power Grid big enough to power 143m homes! But Trump is a climate change denier despite America suffering from record low temperatures and at least 17 deaths.

Lastly – Google Americas richest cities and it will show a list with some above $100000, but the richest on average (mine) seem to be around the $80000 GDP mark. This is obviously way over most European cities; but hold on a moment. Health and education are theoretically free in the UK and other European countries. So start adding in health insurance and other costs and the gap is not great. Also add in murders and crime stats and other social stats and the picture is very different.

MINNESOTA

Philosophically is there a difference between murder on a small scale and murder of thousands. Both are totally wrong and the word total is defined as being complete. So murder by Government troops of innocent citizens is totally wrong, whether by Israeli Troops in Gaza and the West Bank; by Iranian Revolutionary Guards in Iran; by troops in Sudan or Myanmar; OR by ICE in Minnesota. There is no moral difference. And still MAGA supporters rally to justify the killings, ironically ignoring one of their cherished rights, the right to carry arms as enshrined in the Second Amendment. A Trump appointee even stated that anyone carrying arms should not demonstrate – or be prepared to be shot. Fuckwits all! So what next – Trump’s Epstein files are already being delayed and much of North America is being hit by very cold weather (but not climate change – obviously).

Meanwhile back in the UK – the Labour Party is showing similar autocratic trends in trying to stop Andy Burnham (Mayor of Manchester) becoming an M.P. and then possibly running for P.M. The given reason is the need for a new electoral vote for a new Mayor – pathetic. Democracy or authoritarianism? And why are the papers (and including the Guardian) ignoring the greens and Zac Polanski). It is highly likely that the hegemony of British Politics of the last 100 years will be blown away. Proportial Representation will arrive sooner than later, or Britain could find itself in an authoritarian state funded secretly by Russian money (and how long before China seeks to influence democratic elections?).

ME

Who am I? I was born in Essex, but have no affection for the country or any of the other counties I have lived in. Essex is in England so I must be English and British. What does this mean? I have no allegence to the flag or the rooyal family. I am grateful for having been born in the UK though. I am not patriotic or nationalistic. basically I am me – and I accept that I will have been, to some extent moulded by the society I grew up in; however it iis the same society that others – bigots and racists grew up in. I hope no one would label me as either of those. So being me is also being English and British and European, and proud of it without bragging. I do not need to wave a flag, sing an anthem, join a group to be content. I guess that the bigots and racists are just people who are unhappy with themselves? And although this sounds very zen I have never done yoga.

So people in Crowborough are demonstarting against housing asylum seekers near them. One of their mantra’s is ironically “Save our children”. Irony is not their strong point so I would point out that a good percentage of the protestors have been referred to the Police for domestic violence. This is a fact and the percentage is often as high as 50%. There is no evidence of asylum seekers targeting children apart from a minor assault, probably traumatic for the victim, in Epping a while back. Demonstrations should be at the slow bureaucracy of dealing with these people and the lack of measures to integrate them into our wonderful multi-cultural society.

Minnesota seperate post to follow!

FUCK

One of the worlds so called greatest democracies is crumbling. ICE operatives have shot a second person with impunity. Not a one off but 5 times. The Gestapo is taking on America. 100000 people demonsrated in Minneapolis against ICE. How many British politicians will speak out against this atrocity? They will be noted!

WAKE UP!

Are we seeing the begining of the end of the old order.  For most of my life I have had two ‘Superpowers’ with the USA being far and away the most dominant.  The USA has become much weaker with Trump’s lack of diplomacy and erratic behaviour.  Russia may have regained some of its USSR status under Putin but as the world moves away from fossil fuels towards renewables it seems unlikely that the fears of European nations, triggered by Ukraine are unlikely to manifest themselves.  Ukraine is a special case and there were divisions here before the Russian invasion.  Much of Donetsk and the east is very much influenced by Russia and the former USSR.

My main point is that Europes weakness is also its strength.  The small nation states might not have huge military power or economic dominance – but the diversity is also allows diversity and and localised democracy.  In the USA California produces 14.5% of GDP and NY 8%.  So these 2 states alone contribute nearly a quarter of Trump’s budget for ..  anything.  The Governor of California and the Mayor of NY are both prominent Trump critics, how long will they allow the orange peril to dictate to their constituents whilst using their tax revenues?  The Senate in Congress is an absurd anomaly!  Why should North Dakota have equal standing with California?

I am sure the Russian people do not give a shit about Moldova or Latvia – more their ability to feed themselves and heat their homes.  However a charismatic leader combined with a monetised political machine can sway their votes (along with threats and coercion).  Are we seeing the same thing here with Reform (bank rolled by fossil fuel companies and pro dictatorships)?  I think our democracy is too strong, a local election recently in Derbyshire saw the Greens take a seat from Reform.  Andy Burnham looks like he will step up and challenge the drift to the right by Starmer. This pattern is repeated across Europe with swings to left and right but generally maintaining an overall middle’s path.

China and India are two new players to the top table.  Trump’s tariff games may well causes the diversity of European states to look between the two, and avoid the American hegemony that is increasingly dominated by Musk and his paedo’ific interpretation of freedom of speech.

So who will act to bring down the tec’ bros’ that are increasingly dominating our lives.  China maybe, but they would replace with their own versions, India – hopefully Modi is too weak to exert total control, Russia – unlikely; so Europe – definitely has the brain power; does it have the finance to challenge?

457 DEATHS -2200 INJURED SERIOUSLY

Trump belittles lives lost and harmed whilst supporting America’s war. Maybe we should get out of NATO whilst the madman is on the rampage? Meanwhile Farage supports Trumps desire for Greenland whilst swanning around Davos at a billionaires expense. When will the thick twats in the UK wake up and see him for the money grabbing charlatan that he is. Oh and he supports Putin who is blasting the fuck out of Ukraine at present despite Trumps claim at peace!

Not a good start to a peaceful Saturday! Supermarket delivery done. All football predictions are in – no prize or cost – email if you want to join. r.p.churchill@gmail.com

Weather is a bit shite too – cold and damp.

Actually I have had a thought! When was the last time you heard a politician say “I made a mistake”.. Fuck me I have made more than a few! But I hope I am honest enough to own up. But then I do not have the shite press bray out “U Turn”. Like changing your mind when more facts come to light is a bad thing? Only for knuckle dragging morons!

PEACE

Trump claims the world is safer and richer than a year ago. I researched the number of deaths in conflicts in 2023 (approx 122000) and 2024 (approx 233000). So that would be a big NO. With over 130 active armed conflicts affecting over 60 countries – the world is not a safe place! Is it richer? While the super-rich saw record gains, nearly half the world’s population lives in poverty, and one in four people face food insecurity.  The wealth of billionaires has increased to $18.3 trillion. So donny is not lying – just being economical with the truth! Mamdami’s victory in New York was attributed to America’s cost of living crisis, so it affects even Americans. So like all Trump’s assertions he is not being honest!

Is the UK safer? Deaths down and London is definitely safer than a year ago, but crime generally is still a major problem. Is it richer? Again a mixed picture – anyone close to the poverty level is probably not, those with index linked pensions, yes; We do have a fairly efficient welfare stae in the UK despite 14 years under an incompetentTory Government And despite a right wing press for whom double standards are the norm. Angela Rayner resigns over a £40000 tax bill that was probably due to poor advice, but she accepted the criticism, and resigned. Farage ‘forgets’ to register £350000 income but avoids criticism by blaming his staff. This is how the rich live – claim all the credit for success and blame the workers and innocent for any criticisms. Bastards.

Meanwhile Elon Musk is negotiating the floating of SpaceX on the NY Stock Market that will make capitalism farcical! Andy Burnham may attempt to return to Parliament and then possibly challenge Starmer. He is certainly more charismatic than Starmer – and possibly more left wing. Floods and landslides cause deaths in NZ. ICE holds 5 year old boy as he returns home after school – fuck Trump!

DELUSIONAL TACO

So Trump changes his mind to reinforce his personal acronym “Trump Always Chickens Out”. Does he really think people believe him anymore (apart from flailing politicians like Badenoch and Farage). He claimed to have had talks with NATO boss, who denies that the subject of Greenland did not come up! Who to believe – hmm – the evidence is plain. He has lost most of his marbles. European leaders have reiterated that sovereignty of Greenland is not open for discussion – still silly Donny takes credit for the existing situation (which has not changed one iota). Regarding the Chagos Islands which the twerp announced was a good deal when agreed, is now a bad deal. He mocks European leaders but claims to have a good relationship with Xi and Putin. He is just jealous of their automatism. He is also confused at times as he refers to Iceland rather than Greenland? He has a fat file of his achievements – but will not read them out. Dementia is a horrible disease, especially when lived out and revealed for everyone to watch. I doubt he will last the duration of his term; the real question is will medical science or impeachment end his sordid reign. Unfortunately for him history will not be kind. And I am willing to accept that he has some positive achievements (albeit that most are on a golf course!).

Elsewhere in the news – well not much else 709 planes flew participants into Davos for the summit – SEVEN HUNDRED AND FUCKING NINE! So just over 3000 delegates need to come by private jet to showcase their wealth? or their fear of ‘normal’ people. Various leaders queued up to join Trumps “Board of Peace” so they can get a share of the spoils, they might have to wait as Israel seems intent on killing more Palestinians. Perhaps Starmer would like to set out a “Red Line’ regarding Israels illegal occupation of Gaza and parts of the West Bank.

Other ‘front’ page news – Harry sues Daily Mail – wgaf? I hate the Mail, but priveldged royal brat will not get my support either! Similarly with the Beckhams which occupies many front pages recently. Priveledged brats brawling like neighbours on an estate arguing about whose cat shit in their garden!

Positive news – in the EU wind and solar energy production surpassed fossil fuels for the first time. Another reason why Trump hates us Europeans.

And then inflation went up due to airfares and tobacco! Is there an index which just relies on essentials?
