INFLATION

Before anyone moans about the poor having mobole phones and cars – any full time job should provide enough for rent/mortgage, food, heat, transport AND enough for a few luxuries like a trip to the cinema/restaurant monthly and a holiday once a year.

Big firms like Heinz are maintaining their 30% margins to enable them to pay dividends and wages. Even councils are paying thousands of employees iver £100000 a year. Where is the discussion about the inflationary impact of wages of the rich and dividends and profits.

And I still do not understand why all the emphasis about inflation is about interest rates. Why does the governmentnot step in to help with fuel costs for food producers? Put a limit on bank margins. Impose a moratirium on public sector wages above £100.000. They could do so much mor, but just blame the BoE for hiking interest rates to achieve the goal set by the Government. The answer is 13 years of gross incompetence and possible corruption.
