LAUGHING

Politically it is interesting that we have a Chancellor as PM. I know we did with Brown (but he was in a no win situation from the start? His wealth has been used against him. This sentence was curtailed as I do not know what to say next! He is stupendously rich which as a socialist I abhor. But if we are not getting a labour Government, then perhaps he will see a way to utilise the wealth of people like him in the national interest? This is just wishful thinking.

Farage and his gangsters will try to capitalise on his ethnicity – people have already posted on twitter (and that abhorrent slug on LBC) that he is not British. So the Reform Party will get the votes of racists (a not to be discounted number), and possibly a few rabid tories like Redwood, and even possibly Sleaze-Dogg? It does make me wonder if PR is a good thing?

However if Sunak is as politically skilful as I believe he maybe (At least he knew when to shut up during Johnson and Truss problems, unlike many cabinet members) he will enable migrants to be properly processed in France or wherever. This should reduce the number crossing the Channel significantly, and perhaps justify their repatriation to their homeland (as if they had a justifiable case for asylum they could have done it legally). I think this is logical, but am sure someone will tell me if not? Farage then only has Brexit to bang on about.

Would the N.I. issue be settled if we were in the EU Customs Union? Economically Brexit has been a disaster. Politically the 2nd reading of “The Retained EU Law (revocation and reform) Bill” will get its second reading tomorrow. From what I read this could be a sister for workers and the environment. Will Sunak pull it?

His Cabinet will be interesting! Will he chose arse lickers or the most competent he can find (could be difficult!)? I sense that it may be the latter? But it will let me know where his government is going. Truss picked a Cabinet to hate the public (as I said at the time, if anyone wants to check). I think he might leave Hunt as Chancellor so that he (Hunt) can take the flak for austerity measures. He must have picked up the vibes about Coffrey, JRM, and others, so we could see a big change?

Basics – Sunak will have very difficult decisions to make about the economy (and domestic cohesion – the SNP are rampant at the moment). To me, the obvious answer is to open negotiations with the EU on the economy, which would be mutually beneficial. However the MSP would crucify him for being anti-Brexit, and capitalise on every statistic which goes awry!

The next election, which will be some time in coming I think! will probably be Labour, possibly a coalition. Who ever wins will be in a no win situation economically, and if poverty hits the likes of Farage will be like hyenas gorging on the fears of the lower middle class and working class (whilst benefitting from the snobbery of the “nearly very rich”.

I am not a Tory (God forbid), but Sunak will have a better chance than Johnson. Johnson is a spent joke. It is unlikely that he would win his seat in Parliament again (he is never there) and whilst GB News might give him air time – it is unlikely to be for long as I believe he would run out of lies, and is basically not as callous as those running and funding the TV station. He can write for the shite papers, but will have no influence after a while, when they realise that he is not that interested, and a loose cannon?
