SHARING

I would not wish to share a kettle or toaster with a neighbour! But things like a lawn mower or an electric drill that are used really or periodically it would make sense. Other people cut their lawns once every 2 or 3 weeks and yet everyone has their own mower, electric drills are used rarely but we all have one! So why not share? just a thought!

Andrews plight is spreading across royalty. The public are becoming aware of the made on charities and the NHS. Why does the King have so many houses/castles? Why does the Crown receive money from offshore wind farms and yet pay no tax? Whilst the Winsors are a quirky soap opera they are a very expensive one for the tax payer. There are 11 ‘royals’ on the pay list – I had never heard of Richard and Birgitte, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester., but they get tax payers money for ???? Apparently Andy (kiddy fidler) was claiming our tax money for ‘massages’ and records of flights on his behalf from Epstein have ;gone missing”. The last queen almost certainly turned a blind eye to his antics, along with leading politicians of the time. Will we ever know the full sordid story with its many cover ups and lies. Was Bris Johnson tutoring them in how to lie without any compunction?

How proud the flag shaggers must be, belting out the national anthem whilst bowing to rich aristocratic and privileged paedophiles and their supporters.

MISOGYNY

The news continues to be dominated by the rich and famous powerful men. At the moment dominated by Trump, Mountbatten-Winsor, Putin. So I thought I would make a list of famous women. Starting of with the Queens, Victoria and the Elizabeths; then Emmeline Pankhurst and Emile Davidson; Florence Nightingale; Marie Curie; Rosa Parks; Amelia Ehart; Mother Teresa; Indira Ghandi; then a couple I have forgotton the names of who worked at NASA and Bletchley Park respectively. I have avoided cultural and sporting icons as men outnumber women by about 100:1! Historically Joan of Arc and Eleanor of Acquitaine but not including Anne Boleyn as it was all about Henry! Reluctantly I would add Maggie Thatcher and possibly Eleanor Roosevelt; Elizabeth Fry (lived locally); then a string of authors Jane Austin, Enid Blyton, Bronte sisters, Agatha Christie and Beatrix Potter; Marilyn Monroe gets in the list as she is iconic. Of current contenders only Greta Thunberg is worthy of a mention. Of course a list of female pop stars and actresses would be extensive.

So society is male dominated – the media has concentrated on Epstein and Andrew with barelyba mention of the victims. 92% of homicides last year were commited by men of which 83 were woman killed by partners (25 men killed by partners). Obviously each death can have complicated issues – women in situations of domestic violence are rarely recorded as such. 50% of those arrested for protesting about child abuse by asylum seekers were themselves known to the police for domestic violence. Reporting vs. Outcomes: Despite high reports, only about 3.2% of reported rapes resulted in a charge in 2021-2022. And conviction rate is is just above 50%. So less than 2% of reported rapes ends in a conviction. I am aware that an accurate assessment of what happens in a private situation is obscured, But the situation is skewed by the male dominated society we live in. Andrew and Tristan Tate have huge followings for their misogynistic and vile posts on social media. The Daily Mail https://bylinetimes.com/2025/04/23/the-two-faces-of-the-daily-mails-media-misogyny/

PRIVATE JETS

It seems that if you are rich enough to travel by private jet you do not have to bother with customs or any checks at all. I wonder how much contraband and trafficking takes place in obscure airports. It is all part of the power game. Also these flights are in effect subsidised by the tax payer as aviation fuel is tax free! The big question is why it took a quarter of a century, after concerns first raised, for these matters to be finally investigated

POOR ANDREW

According to one knuckle dragging, flag shagging resident “they should leave him alone’ and “he was just having a bit of fun”. Where do these peoples stupidity come from? Andrew is an over-priviledged pervert. His sexual activities do not need to have broken the law to be morally abhorrent. What other members of the royal family were complicit in their silence? It seems that his arrest was due to revealing privileged information to Epstein not his perversions. However we have yet to see the perverts prosecuted for their perversions, whilst the victims – mainly young vulnerable girls guilt shamed by the likes of at least one resident – and I guarantee that he will be voting for the likes of super traitor Farage.

STARTER

New sough dough starter – called Millie. With the weather set to be wet for another month I thought I would get some and make sourdough rye and normal. Places in Cornwall have had 50 days consecutive rain and we cannot be far short.

ABOVE THE LAW

Starmer is talking bullshit when he says no one is above the law. The sovereign in the UK has for years ensured that certain laws do not apply to the Royal Family and estates. Mandleson and Andrew have been accused of passing confidential information to Epstein and others – but no prosecution. Abuse of the system is funded by ‘consultants’ who manipulate the system for those who can afford it. The Mansion Tax should be increased, and Royalty included – the Crown is making shed loads out of off shore wind power. Being rich and powerful is a passport to law avoidance. How many times do the police stop and breathalise out side golf clubs and other establishments.

NEW HOMES/FLOODING

A report in the Guardian today states that 1 in 9 new homes built in 2022-24 were susceptable to flooding, up from 1 in 13 in the previous 10 years. What a shock – not! Fitsly the reason it has not been on in the last 500 years is often flooding. The cramped buildings and roads also result in less infiltration and thus more flooding, and this impact can exaserbate other areas even if the new builds themselves are immune. A government spokesperson reacted by stating that £10.5billion had been spent on flood prevention and the figures were therefore false. Intensive agriculture has also not helped. AND another thing, buildings are going up all over = less wildlife and wetland habitats. Otters do not vote Labour (actually few people do!), trashing environments for housing is a blatant polluting of the land. I realise the housing market is totally fucked. Tory policies of allowing migration since Brexit disaster has made a bad problem worse. Thatcher’s right to buy policy started the disaster and the free market and bozo developers have created suburban ghetto’s with few if any facilities, rare bus services and a desecrated landscape.

ELECTIONS

So Starmer has done a U turn, again – the postponement of electitions due to electoral reform was supposed to save money – but Farage is not concerned with that, despite his words he only cares about himself. Personally I am not sure – democracy is important – but a years delay would not be a travesty! Farage has campaigned against this because he smells success at the polls in May.

BROKEN SOCIETY

Recent research reveals that suicides as a result of domestic violence may be as high as 900 pa., far greater than the murders associated with domestic violence. Add to this statistic is the number of children requiring psychiatric assistance and there seems to be a malaise pervading our society. I would apportion the blame on four factors. Firstly the politics of of sleaze, selfishness and greed that has pevaded governments in greater publicity since Bozo Johnson lowered the standard to the gutter. Demonisation of minority groups is now mainstream politics and pursued with no shame or embarrassment. For this Farage and Reform can take the most blame, but Badenoch and Starmer are also guilty. Secondly the internet and social media have made abuse and misogyny seem almost commonplace. Porn sites are easily accessed and have promoted vile activity such as rape and partial strangulation. In my youth one needed to be tall enough to reach the top shelf and at least look 16, and then face embarrassment if parents found a magazine. Now parents have no idea what their children are looking at, let alone sharing and promoting/practicing. Thirdly is the growth is perceived poverty. It seems that society has become increasingly materialistic and I use the word perceived because this can affect all income and wealth levels. Arguments about finances are not confined to those struggling to get by, but all sectors of society, especially those whose lifestyle is in excess of their earnings, and whose social groups expect higher expenditure and material acquisitions. Lastly I would blame the right wing press who take every opportunity to demean woman. Angela Rayner and Meghan Markle; indeed I once went out with a Daily Mail reader (the shame haunts me!), and I asked why she read suck shit – her reply was that she enjoyed reading about stars suffering from cellulite and marital problems. I ended the relationship! The papers do not help, they revel in misery and despair and rarely report on positives.

So we live in a society where we are exposed to/taught that selfishness is a virtue (World politicians); bad behaviour is ok if you can afford it (Epstein & Co); porn and perversion are now common place; and the press does not promote the vibes of love and peace. I add these because they were the vibes of my teenage years. And I hope I have been true to that ever since (including a divorce).

ONLY ROTTERS HUNT OTTERS!

I thought I would start with the good news – an otter has appeared on camera at Trinity College, Cambridge. Almost extinct in parts of the UK in the 1970’s, campaigns to stop otter hunts have succeeded in allowing the otter to thrive.

On a more serious note – Starmer is talking of dangerous increases in military spending. Trump is saying he will not withdraw Americas nuclear shield (but that was today – tomorrow, who knows). Should Europe be more proactive in its defence spending and actions – probably, but do not forget the millions that U.S. tech and arms companies make out of Europe. Is Starmers latest debacle due to elections coming up in the UK and he wants to attract right-wing support?

The Observer had a double page on student loans. The amounts students are owing is eyewatering. The original argument was that graduates benefitted from high salaries and therefore should payback the cost of their education. What a load of bollocks. Society needs doctors and nurses, engineers and scientists. Just raise higher level income tax – those earning vast amounts due to their education should be taxed accordingly. Society should not put a value on degrees, we need artists and also those with obscure degrees. So abolish the loans completely and give grants to those doing degrees of public service/need. Then let tax get the money back!

To be honest – not much else! Apart from the fact that the USA has carried out 157 armed raids in Somalia in the last 15 months. Epstein files rumble on with Andrew becoming less likeable every day. Starmer is also fighting due to ‘support’ of paedophiles being promoted to HoL. I doubt he will survive May elections. But who takes over? Will Sweeting who will likely lose his seat next election? Only Andy Burnham seems to have a hope of recreating Labour into a left’ish party again.

FA Cup action this weekend – AVilla were embarrassing in their support by the referee!
