Next Thursday will most likely see a return to austerity and more cuts in public services. Britains debt is about average for developed countries but its cost is running at £100 billion per year. Where has all the money gone? OK so Covid cost £400 billion of which about half was justifiable, whilst much seems to have just disappeared. It has not gone to public services for sure, Sleaze-Dogg and his cronies have been avoiding tax and salting the money away in tax havens.

The NHS will collapse soon with American companies chomping at the bit for a bigger slice of the action. Underfunded and under staffed – the first strike by nurses and how the MSM are whinging. If Sunak announces more cuts to health, education, police, local authorities we will see a wave of strikes. I am sure the despicable Nick Ferrari and his soul mates across the media will find people to complain about the strikes, stating how hard they work and that public employees have it easy. He is unlikely to cross-examine the CEO’s of FTSE100 companies who have seen their pay rise by 48%. Teacher recruitment is down 23% on 2019.

The Aid Budget is a popular target as it appeals to the ignorant and stupid. Would the same people advocate that companies stop advertising (as that is what a lot of our aid does for businesses in the UK). Are they so stupid that they do not realise that poverty not only diminishes the market for our goods, but also increases international movement of people.

NHS waiting list of 7 million is contributing to the 2+million people in the UK claiming sick pay. Hospitals are complaining about bed blockers – as these people have no where to go. This problem has been discussed for 12 years and predicted for longer – government action – zilch (apart from Hancocks probably inadvertent policy during Covid to kill off Care Home residents! )

Basically this government is a total fucking shambles. And Starmer needs to grow some balls if this country is to become great again. I support his “less migration for Health Service workers” for completely different reasons (the impact on the poorer countries losing skilled workers). On the EU he is insipid, on strikes he lacks morality, his environmental policy might turn out to be ok when firmed up. Whilst this government needs a “beat them at all costs” approach, it must not be at the cost of the labour movement and its basic philosophy. Starmer is in danger of just offering another few years of life support for the rich. The Reform Party of fascists is a concern regarding proportional representation – now they seem to be up to 9% in the polls – fascists have gained a big foothold in France and Italy and to some extent Germany. However as the BBC has been giving them a platform of free publicity for the last 8 or 9 years I doubt if it matters that much. The MSM will support them anyway? Does the Green Party actually exist anymore – or is it hiding?
