ALARMISM

We need real leadership now. No MP will want to have to be seen too making decisions about higher fuel prices, higher meat and dairy costs, allocating funds to the NHS and cutting benefits for the poor. The only way at the moment is higher taxation – let companies cope with this by greater eco-efficiency – solar panels and electric/hydrogen transport. to do this will mean that MPs will need to ignore lobbying from both industry and the Trade Unions.

Meanwhile the Green Party is spurning the opportunity to achieve massive headway with the public with a leadership election where the latest candidates are trans and non-binary and a founder of Extinction Rebellion. Well done – you will consign the Green Party to obscurity. The public took nearly half a century to accept gays, it will not accept new radical ideas like this at the moment. The two candidates on a joint ticket say they are hoping to attract young people. They need to notice that young people do not turn out to vote in high numbers, half the population of the UK is over 45, and to have an influence you seats in Parliament. So sorry Amelia and Tamsin – you need to withdraw you candidacy before you make the party a laughing stock. Your time will come, just not yet.
