Should the BBC have its licence fee renewed? It is not a simple answer. Personally I believe that there is no need for a publically funded Radio 1, 2 or 3! Radio 5 is a competion for Talk Sport. Radio 4 should be upholding democracy and should stay. Radio 6 may also provide a service and the World service is undoubtably important for our influence as a country.
Regarding TV. I am obviously no expert but the BBC has a unsurpassed wildlife unit and should be developing the same within the arts and dramas? I think Gary Lineker is great but his pay? And many others, the BBC has a reputation for extravagance. It obviously needs a balance between keeping viewer figures up and nurturing new talent so I will shut up!
