BULL

Current supply chain problems are dismissed without comment, inflation andclimate change – not a word. He also states that it is not the job of government to come and fix every problem in business and industry. His right wing will love that! And it is yet again shifting the blame elsewhere.

Brexit and therefore government has created problems which it has a duty to try to fix or ameliorate. Labour shortages are a major one, potential gas shortages are another – especially if the EU shuts off supply over fishing disputes. Pigs being slaughtered on farms and used for animal feed or biofuel is another – it really is blood on your hands.

Johnsons perennial problem is his immature desire to be loved (hence number of children), whilst being leader of a party that is colloquially known as the nasty party, and at a time when unpopular decisions needed to be made. Covid may have subsided (hopefully not just for now) but the crisis is not over. With even just 3% inflation poverty will hit record levels this winter as heating costs and petrol costs soar.

The general working population will be squeezed – although I am sure the Tory Party and its donors will make even more money, The financial institutions will also increase their wealth – it would be good to see an analysis of car insurance during the pandemic when usage and accidents were way down, but have premiums fallen? Do we just pay insurance costs without really thinking (yes we search for lower prices, but are they really low enough). The no claims policy deduction. Should it not be in the form of a refund after 10 years rather than a halt to lower fees?

Oh and on top of all this tax (via Nat.Ins.) is going up by 2.5% which has not been factored into inflation – actually is it? But any rise in the minimum wage by less than 6% will be a reduction in real terms. Of course that would mean prices going up and more inflation.

Meanwhile the rich get richer – Tesco announce profits up by 28% to £1.3 billion. How many of their full time workers claim universal credit? Fecking disgusting! How long before this company is sold off to American hedge funds? Where are the workers rights?
