UKRAINE

Johnson makes a bid to become President of Ukraine. Except the rhetoric collapsed when it turned out that £300 million (less deductions) was not much of a big deal.

JOURNALISM

When did reporting get so lazy? Surely there should be a regulator? Maybe a league table of honesty in news reporting both the press and online – maybe a colour coding at 3 levels which ignores political bias. The Sun and Star could avoid this by being classified as comics! Hopefully the Times, Telegraph and Guardian would be top level – but then maybe the i, and the Mirror? But what criteria could be used? Named sources would be a good start, coverage of major issues and space/time commensurate with importance? Honesty is difficult, but Angela Rayner should have been able to sue the Tories who maligned her.

I wonder where the BBC, Fox News, etc. would come. It could get them to be more professional – cost? To the tax payer nothing as the organisations publishing news would have to pay a fee.

ENERGY

BP makes £6.2 billion profit but a loss of £12 billion after writing off investments in Russia. Can we expect to see major investments in green technology as a result? The government should create a favourable environment for green investments at all levels from corporate to individual. The Environment Agency should be advancing the use of watermills rather than prohibitive charges for environmental reports – they are paid by the tax payer not the energy giants.

The government is obsessed by size of dominator proportions. Small scale schemes on a local scale are quicker to instal, funding should be easier and the energy market would be diversified. Security should increase as reliance on imports of fossil fuels would be much reduced, and the National Grids’ exposure to hacking reduced.

EGREGIOUS

This word has been added to my vocabulary. outstandingly bad; shocking. It sums up this government.

Latest egregious policy comes from Michael ‘the gnome’ Gove. Foreign food to be allowed into the country despite poor quality – after all, only the poor will buy it. Farmers may moan but will not bite the hand that feeds them government subsidies and guarantees their land rights.

Latest egregious refusal is that they will not release documents showing how and why Michelle Loose was awarded £200 million PPE contract – although the police are investigating – I think.

Latest egregious lie – Johnson and Harding saying that asymptomatic covid was not known about when they are on video explaining it – how many elderly care home victims were there?

Latest egregious revelation from the NHS is 2000 dentists quitting in east year – nearly 10%.

Latest egregious denial – Kwarsi Kwarteng announcing that the pervious culture of Westminster is a lie, it is just a few ‘bad apples’.

Latest egregious statement – anything from the Culture Secretary.

Please feel free to add to the list.

LABOUR

I could never ever ever vote tory. However Labour under Starmer has lost socialism. Rayner would be a far better leader – more left, but still acceptable to the public. Starmer comes across as status quo, part of the Westminster Political cabal. We will see in Thursday whether he has enough popularity to crush the tories – which should be simple. The Observer made the comment that the last time these elections were fought was a massive victory for Corbyn and Labour may struggle. They may well struggle as they still have no clear ideology that appeals to the public. I suspect we will see some very low turnouts as the public show their disgust at politics – I know it is mainly Tory lying, but the press has been trying to tar them all. with the same brush, and thus even out the distrust.

I have no idea of Labours policies on energy, railways, NHS, education, migrants, and just some vague comments about tax changes that do not matter as they are not in power. A strong message is essential – which encompasses the climate crisis, trade with EU crisis, NHS crisis, education crisis, farming crisis, etc.. I have not mentioned Ukraine as apart from pretending that we have an important role to play (albeit led by USA and NATO) – it seems that our policy is electioneering.

SLEAZE

An MP convicted of child sexual assault, a senior MP seen watching porn in the HoC, a leader and a Chancellor both convicted of breaking Covid rules (they themselves wrote). What a sad stat for this country to have found itself in.

UKRAINE

Interesting that Biden is allocating or asking Congress to agree a $33 billion package of arms to combat Russia in Ukraine. It seems like a bit of an escalation? Lots of diplomacy to be done.

DAILY BILE

Starmer may have had a beer with some food, Angela Rayner may have been in the same building. But no front page mention of ‘Porn watcher MP’ – and Tory inaction.

But then their front page seems to be created in a fun of cocaine and hatred – or should I say an un named DM worker says the above? I should copy anphoto of a line of cocaine here to illustrate the point.

TOXIC

Parliament needs massive reform. Over 50 M.P.’s referred to standards committee. This is not just a Tory thing, and possibly (although mainly) not just a male thing. An M.P. watching porn in the chamber, an M.P. found guilty of sexual offences, a Government Minister found guilty of bullying. The list is endless. Then the laws they pass regarding voting, electoral policing, demonstrations, migrants, animal welfare, environment. The Romans did more for Britain than this bunch of incompetents.
