Implications seem to be that being close to unmasked people is the biggest risk. The study did not, as far as I am aware look into the distance the virus travelled. fOr compare Omicron and Delta variants.
I wonder if a school like Churchill Academy which is spread over a large area explains a relatively low infection rate? Classrooms are empty for about 5 minutes between lessons , students are exercising outside between buildings? Just a thought. Classrooms will always have high relative humidity with 30 plus people in them. Would dehumidifiers make a difference? This is not just about Covid as I suspect the same is true about flu, and the quality of the micro atmosphere in a classroom can have an impact.
Humidity levels are high in my house due to the huge number of plants – but I have few visitors, and the patio doors open when I do.
