Hopefully the numpties who are being paid £millions for track and trace will be able to cope nd contain the virus with support from the treasury?
I am not sure what the latest stats are telling us about primary children being in the 2nd highest group for infections? Where does this leave us with school reopening? It is desperately needed, but needs to be safe? Stab all teachers pronto! Test kids regularly, even with shite lateral test. And send home bubbles if infections are shown. They key emphasis should be on containment of the virus, not the free’ing of the economy. Over half of the population agree with this on recent polls. It is cheaper in the long run.
I suspect the government will hit the wall on vaccines soon. The numbers will go down, so they might as well do the people that matter to getting the economy going again. Not just teachers and police, but taxi drivers and similar.
And will we end up with a vaccination passport? I think so. As long as there is some way of recording those exempted for valid reasons. It is kind of inevitable? Not just a proof of vaccination, but showing that a person is a pratt!
Unfortunately I think pubs will be shut for a few more months. Restaurants maybe sooner? Police are reporting more parties – and I have total sympathy with both the kids and the police – a shit situation. So keep rolling the vaccine out and then restrict access to clubs to those with the passport?
Unfortunately the Prime Buffoon is likely to open up all schools and universities which is beyond criminal! I know it is shit, and I am suffering as I am pissed off with lack of interaction, but we need to keep a lid on things for a while yet (It would have been shorter if the government had a clue!).
