It is the grandchildrens birthday season (and children), so I had better give Tams a ring to find out what to get, I have rarely been a good present buyer and children today are totally different beasts than when i lived 24/7 with them. So I phone Tams – no connection. OK she may have run out of battery, or droped her phone (again). I try intermittently for a couple of days. I also send emails, which they claim not to look at! They are not on Twitter, and I am not on Facebook, but I keep being told to use WhatsApp. But of course I do not because I am king of the tec world!
Cut to this morning and I tell Kaush that I am concerned as I have not heard from them, and Maz’ phone was also displaying the same message. But no worries – the papers are very late and i get bored of waiting in the shop. So I go home and Kush says he will text me when they arrive (Saturdays he is by himself and all the papers have supplements so I like to help out.). In passing I mention that could he send me a text now so I can reassure myself that it is working. He does ad it is, then he asks for my phone
In my defence it did not say transfer the SIM card! Nor did I notice the pin. I am allowed out without supervision but this is the second eject moment in a fortnight! I had searched all my 1500 emails for the one that the NHS sent me about the time for my jabs – only for me to remember that it was actually a text not email that they sent me. However I did remember in time! Phew – that is a lot of words about nothing!
Ripping out the tomato plants has the lovely smell – some are still going red on the window sill. Greenhouse is next for gutting! I have moved the chillies to the conservatory.
