He claims credit for the NHS when undermining it, claims credit for the broadband roll out but says the problems are not his to have to sort out! the sad thing is that the population seems to have become apathetic to his failures and rather like his positive take on everything. Take credit wherever possible and blame others for cockups!

Whether the British Public will be so tolerant as prices go up and up is another matter. Am I being pessimistic? Just pragmatic I believe. Gas prices are 7 times the April cost. Even if this falls back it means any industry which is a energy consumer will have to put prices up. More gas companies will go bust, but there will have to be a limit to the government allowing this. Petrol costs are also rising. Hopefully supplies of gas will not lead to outages this winter.

With leadership great things could happen – insolation, solar panels and small wind turbines could be rolled out in weeks if the government wanted to. Tesco’s have announced 2 new train services taking food from Spain to Scotland – only 2 other retailers use rail, this could change rapidly. He talks of a high skilled workforce – where is the plan to create this?
