The government should create a favourable environment for green investments at all levels from corporate to individual. The Environment Agency should be advancing the use of watermills rather than prohibitive charges for environmental reports – they are paid by the tax payer not the energy giants.
The government is obsessed by size of dominator proportions. Small scale schemes on a local scale are quicker to instal, funding should be easier and the energy market would be diversified. Security should increase as reliance on imports of fossil fuels would be much reduced, and the National Grids’ exposure to hacking reduced.
