A WARRINGTON MP has said the Government must step up after ‘woefully inadequate’ free school meal parcels were sent out to families.
This comes after images shared online show the limited contents of a free school meal offering – a ‘£30 parcel’ estimated to contain just £5.22 worth of food.
Sharing the image, Twitter user Roadside Mum said: “Two days – jacket potato with beans, eight single cheese sandwiches, two days carrots, three days apples, two days Soreen, three days Frubes.
I really want to be proud of my country – not ashamed!
Basically they are thieves and scoundrels. Did the relevant minister agree the list of contents of the boxes, or was it just signed off as another profit making venture for his/her buddies? Surely there must be a way to hold these people (although callous low love might be a better description), to account? And yes Mr.Johnson the buck stops with you.
And whilst talking about incompetence in government! Another one – the government is going to insist on a clean Covid test for all people travelling to the UK. How many months has this taken. The Minister responsible, haha, said that this is because of the new strain of the virus from S.Africa. He also said there was no point before now as the virus was in our population. I do not see the logic here. Surely every person coming in with the virus will cause it to spread? Another one to be taken to court for culpable manslaughter.
