Facts – there are 4190 secondary schools in the UK, and about 21000 primary schools. So even if spread equally between schools of different sizes that equates to about £1100 per school, per student it is less than £3 per head! Typical government tactic – they will go into Parliament and talk about the millions they are putting in, whilst also knowing it is as effective as cocktail umbrella in a storm. And even that money will probably be rolled out to Academic Trusts with wallets needing back handers. Are people still gullible to this scam?
I loved playing tennis on the council courts under the railway in Chelmsford. Ann and I spent hours there and the cost was minimal, most summer holidays had days of tennis after a bike ride there. Now most courts are Private Clubs and I suspect not virtually free. I think there are 3 or places to play tennis in North Somerset – pathetic – and they will get a share of £22 million? That seems fair!!!!
