HYPOTHESIS

I suppose that with everything else about America it is all about money. America has plenty of fossil fuels so is relatively immune to world flucuations in prices. Will increases in the cost of oil justify his illegal actions in Venezuela to his MAGA faithful? He has even unsanctioned Russian exports to countries in Asia and thus pleased Putin. Starmer appears to be falling into step, unlike Spain and Belgium. The UK is now an official aircraft carrier for the USA. Can the UK Parliament do anything? Former Heads of Army, craving a few minutes in the limelight, and a few bob, are prominent on trash tv and media, jangling their jingo balls in the most obscene way!

Ed Miliband is correct in calling for the UK to reduce its reliance on world prices of oil and develop more green energy. However we are overly reliant on imports for food and rare metals (but have we looked hard enough? Cornwall and other old tin mining areas come to mind).

If the evil alliance is correct they have already killed a lot of the leadership in Iran, but, as a theocracy, the government has indoctrinated children for decades, so with no leadership and religious fevour still polluting their minds, and local officials still weilding omniscient powers; can a peace fire ever occur. It seems that x billion $ have not ‘neutralised’ the capacity of Iranian fighters to hit targets with relatively cheap drones. Therefore the cost of oil is likely to hit record levels by the end of the month – and then the price at the pump will rise just in time for the UK local elections. So Starmer needs some positive news – unfortunately he is going right, not left and massive losses are inevitable in May.
