China has come out and stated that the expansion of NATO led to the invasion by Russia. But China will be playing a very concealed hand in this conflict. Perhaps primarily judging how the west would react to greater pressure on Taiwan and its moves in the South China Sea. The economic aspects are also interesting – China wants energy mineral resources and does not lose anything by being ‘Russia’s friend’ for the duration of this.
I have not followed Imran Khan in Pakistan but understand he has problems. Both India and Pakistan are countries with latent power, large populations and seem to be accepting Russia’s friendship at the present. Vaguely interesting, funny, sad, pathetic, to see the Maldives supporting Putin, but if no one else seems to give a f*** about you it is not surprising.,
