Starmer has caved in to US pressure and given America permission to use bases on UK territory for the illegal war on Iran. Why? Has he no idea of the chaos and deaths caused by previous illegal wars in the region. Does he think it makes him tough to those on the political right? He has certainly made every UK citizen less safe. The situation inside Iran is unclear as reporters have been denied access as they were/are by Israel in Gaza. Whilst many will be happy to see the back of those responsible for the deaths of demonstrators over the last few months, it appears that there have been large demonstrations in support of the regime. America and Israel have said they are going to bomb the fuck out of Iran for at least the next 4 weeks! Put another way – they will destroy the infrastructure of the country whilst having no real plan for regime change – maybe Trump plans to instal himself on the Peacock Throne?
The economics of war are plain to see. Money pours into the military-economic complex; baners reap huge rewards by providing governments with funds to destroy; and then they get rewards by funding reconstruction projects. deaths are predominately non-combatents and often children.
