PAYING THE PRICE

The long term solutions are related to health and education. Badenoch said we need to have more babies in the UK – most people with careers and education are delaying having babies until they can afford them! Or look at the world around them and decide it is wrong to bring children into such a fucked up Earth. Health care needs training and proper wages as does education. Both these require taxes – and we know who hates taxes! Do Reform voters realise what the privatisation of the NHS would mean? Just watch Michael Moores ‘Sicko”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbEQ7acb0IE It is sobering.

Education – I might go to town here! In general education has been about educating the elite – markedly to ensure that the poor were awe inspired by Priests who read the bible in latin. Then as the primary and secondary jobs needed an intelligent hand, we saw the training of clerks, etc. I do remember that my erstwhile grandmother-in-law railed against education as making people want to live above their place in life! That was 1973 folks – not the fucking dark ages! And then we had Blair and the growth of University Education.

And now we are 2025 – where university education is being eroded by AI – GCSE’s are superflous to the system – why waste money and time and effort and stress? A levels are the new standard – but does society want them. With misinformation and lies dominating the web, I would suggest that critical thinking should become a compulsory subject from 13. yes I love geography and history, but is a knowledge of films and popular culture less exacting? I fear not! So the fact I can name every country in the world and every state in america and every county in England is no cleverer than some one who can name films and there casts? or winners of Eurovision? No what we need is people who know this! That my knowledge is no better or worse, what matters is the analysis of this knowledge.
