This means that probably most of us are unable to vote for what we believe in, and certainly will never get a supporting voice in Parliament (sorry Caroline Lucas – you do your solitary best).
Only with proportional representation will. we have a chance of a coalition government which can be truly representative of the people of this country. There is also a greater chance that a coalition government would be less open to the corruption and sleaze we are seeing now. The two main parties will not vote for PR – so I propose a spoiled ballot campaign. Not voting is interpreted as apathy and ignored. My preference would be to write wankers across the ballot paper – but that is probably too radical or illegal??
