What is the future for Conservatives? For sure they want lower taxes, less “nanny state”, less red tape for business, less immigration. Is it the party for the individual rather than the group? The ERG has placed everything on the extreme of these.
We do not like taxes, but like our refuse collections, our NHS but dislike the cost, our education system. I think everyone would accept that the wage distribution has got out of control and the social economic scenario needs a re-alignment.
But the climate catastrophe – which will be most effective – the free market or governments or an amalgam of both?
