It seems that if you are rich enough to travel by private jet you do not have to bother with customs or any checks at all. I wonder how much contraband and trafficking takes place in obscure airports. It is all part of the power game. Also these flights are in effect subsidised by the tax payer as aviation fuel is tax free! The big question is why it took a quarter of a century, after concerns first raised, for these matters to be finally investigated
However the positive is that they are being investigated, apparently with vigour, in a marked contrast to the USA where the supine press and patsy Attorney-General appear unlikely to do anything other than brush it under the carpet. Whilst comparing judicial things, finally the nominees oof the Supreme Court have at last stung the Presedents arse. His reaction was shameful for a President – using a similar ploy to that of the British gutter press (Daily Mail) in naming and shaming the ludges who failed to worship at is pestulent feet. Is this a final weak attempt at trying to support a democratic system in the face at a blatent attempt to impose fascism. Obedience to the law is all that holds society together (as I stated in a post this week), If the President does not like the law as it is, he should face Congress and get them to change the law. The British Government face a similar challenge regarding Palestine Action and its designation as a terrorist organisation (and the thousand s of wrongful prosecutions). Britons may regret what they wish for regarding Farage’s populist lies and nonsense.
Siri no longer tells me whether it will rain when I ask her the weather for the day – she assumes I know that it will be wet at some point.
