Sage, rosemary, thyme, creeping thyme, anise hyssop, sweet basil, greek basil, lemon basil, fennel, dill, tarragon, parsley, garlic chives, lemon balm, lemon verbena, lemon bergamot, bay, chicory, oregano, hot and spicy oregano, marigold, poppies and honeysuckle. Then 22 mints – Japanese, Spanish, spearmint, moroccan, ginger, iguana, garden, mojito, strawberry, white peppermint, banana, pineapple, Korean white, Corsican, atlas mountain, Bowles, lime, chocolate, basil, berries and cream, apple, eau de cologne. Also used in cooking are leaves from my olive, lemon and lime trees.

So I am searching for recipes – various herbs might go with strawberry jam? Cheese, black pepper/salt and various herb twists (rosemary, thyme, basil and I will experiment with mint). Nut loaf with sage, and sage and onion stuffing (with some nuts?). And of course alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Obviously the herby teas too.

I think I will also task myself to catalogue and label all 60 plus house plants that share my home.
