Much will be made of the decline in Labours majority, but it must be noted that the vote on the left was split by Galloway. Without that the % majority was pretty much the same for the left. There will be concern at the way Galloway targeted the Muslim community.
But it is another strange election result. Lib Dems after a stunning result recently, lost their deposit. The Tories will be reasonably happy to have retained their share of the vote. It was also good to see the far right candidates do badly.
