SLEAZE

How many of the 250 who voted for the amendment are guilty too? How many opposition abstainers could be tarred with the same brush.

I was also shocked to hear that Johnson has a long blacklist of journalists he will not talk to. Democracy in this country is fading fast. Fleas-Dogg then tries to use the suicide of Pattersons wife as a reason to let him off. Oh and one of the companies which funded him with £100000 received a £120 million contract without bidding for it.

To this we can add the NHS. Apparently a plane coming to land at Bristol reported a passenger had just had a heart attack – 3 hours later an ambulance turned up. I also heard a similar story of a friend trying to report the case of an old lady he had found lying on the floor with a broken hip for an hour, and then being repeatedly transferred and asked the same questions over and over. I am not blaming the NHS here, but the long term underfunding, the shortage of staff and their exhaustion as we still grapple with Covid. How convenient for the government if private contractors can be seen to be doing a better job? Government hyperbole about inputs of billions mean nothing when the money is handed out to sub-contractors, who can cut hours and income of workers as we saw yesterday with staff at testing centres.

What the NHS desperately needs is more doctors and nurses and less bureaucracy. Less criticism and more support and love.
