Critics think ‘good’ parents might be prosecuted. Good parents do not hit children. Yes frustration and tiredness can play a part, but the rule is never hit a child – there is no “line” to be drawn as to what is “reasonable”. I have not checked the figures recently but a while back there was one child a week dying from parental beating. And with the shut down we have more domestic violence, something else I do not understand.
