Starmer has made a good start in repairing relationships with the EU. But has a problem in resetting the migration issue. The Tories allowed a massive increase of migrants from Nigeria and India whilst curtailing migration from Europe. I am going to say but here, and hope it is not interpreted as racist (or more racist than it obviously is!. I have stated before that migrants of yound adults from Eastern Europe were more likely to return home, whilst those from other continents are more likely to stay. I think this is a logistical fact – but have no evidence to support it. There is also a cultural issue, not just religeon, but socially. Integration takes much longer, and this is especially true when the numbers of migrants are large. Before you judge me too harshly – I would also critise the British diaspora in almost every country for their lack of assimilation.
