STARMER

He should go – but the alternative? Surely not a GE! Is there anyone in the Labour Party who could take over? Possibly Ed.Milliband? With A.Rayner as deputy (Is it too soon to resurrect her?). The Labour Party needs to rediscover its left wing roots – winning regardless is not something it can do (unlike the Conservative Party – and I am not being prejudiced here – the Tory Party’s philosophy does not have the same criteria as Labour).

The population want a vision for the future, Starmer does not offer this. He is not identified as having common ground with most of the public – Labours win at the last election was more of a rejection of the Tories than a vote for him! His obsession with Reform is embarrassing – they will wither if confronted with a vision for the future rather than having the fears they implant in society magnified. Basically stop the small boats and they have nothing but pure racism. France cannot be expected to be of a major help here with its own Government in turmoil – maybe a fast track system of processing those with papers – and returning those without the documents? Whatever – there has to be some humanitarian solutions – 50000 people paying £1000 each?

Back to Labour – Starmer has to go. Too many wrong decisions – he seems to make decisions made on the probability of winning votes rather than any ideology. Remember that Corbyn, who made a number of blunders whilst leader of Labour, got more votes than Starmer (and he was up against the charismatic buffoon Johnson, rather than washed out Sunak). Zac Polanski will cut into Labour votes, especially in cities in the south. Lib Dems will maintain presence via their outstanding local networks in many places. Conservatives may make a come back, although neither Badenoch or Jenrick seem suited to reclaim the middle ground of conservitive supporters.

Labour Party Conference should be interesting? With Angela banished there is no real threat to Starmer other than the articulate Union Leaders!
