The grass areas are not big enough for cricket or croquet. To be fair one does use his lawn for a tent occasionally or parking. 26 million homes in the UK (I think) – so maybe 10 million lawns (but front and back?) perhaps 15-20 million lawns, where people mow every fortnight (energy used?), and flowers are not allowed to produce nectar for insects. To quote “Frozen” – “Let it go, let it go”.
