Marcus Rashford is stirring up trouble for Johnson. The papers seem to be putting some significance on Rashfords shirt number (No.10). So I guess nothing of major significance has happened. I think the government are being very naive politically. They may well have provided extra money via various schemes, but it is not always what you do, but what you are seen to do that matters. The cost of free meals for those eligible is negligible (and edible), compared to the money thrown at their political cronies. Oh and the nasty tories were out showing their fangs and talking about free school meals and food parcels feeling drug dens, cafes that try to help the poor having too much money, etc. Well folks you voted for these heartless bastards, hopefully you will not make that mistake again.

And for the sad people who think that footballers should be relieved of their admittedly healthy wages, perhaps they should look at the 151 billionaires (tax them 50% – raise 75 billion), or the corporate thieves of the City of London.

Our PM is apparently waiting for US election result before resuming proper BREXIT talks in the hope of a Trump victory. That is one where they can have a chat, ignore all environmental, labour, international legislation and carve out some deals.

And was I right in thinking that I heard some posh old person suggesting that old people should be left to die at home, rather than clutter up hospitals? We are not talking about the last seats on the Titanic lifeboat but the 6th/7th richest nation on Earth. I guess they had calculated that they could afford private health care, or employ Covid tested employees.
