So I am less clear now than I was 20 minutes ago! presumably they all receive the same satellite data? Looking at the ‘Will it Rain Today’ website it does appear that Sandford is on the border of some heavy rain to the south west Cornwall and Devon. 5Live have just revised it to suggest thunder and lightning around Bristol later this afternoon (5pm?). Presumably non government weather forecasts are going to be erring towards forecasting rain (people will moan less generally if they forecast is rai. and it is dry, rather than vice versa.
I guess it is best to look out of the window? It is certainly quite humid and clouding over. Meanwhile Southern Florida and Georgia can expect heavy rainfall, Hurricane Larry is still in mid Atlantic but has sustained wind speeds of 185kph,
Hottest place on the daily list in the Guardian is Basra at46C and lowest is Reykjavik at 11C.
Technically the 5Live report has it with a few spots at 2pm – but nothing to cause the washing to be brought in, and I will water the garden later at this rate!
