WHEN DOES INCOMPETENCE BECOME CRIMINAL?

Whose fault is it? Remain voters in the EU referendum and the possibility of a Starmer led government in one or two years time have been blamed. Few have blamed the tory donors who speculated against sterling and government binds and made a fortune.

`By announcing the “Not a budget” on a Friday Kwateng has avoided the scrutiny of Parliament – and Truss has refused to recall it, despite this being the biggest financial crisis since 2008. Kwateng has also refused to get the OBR to cost his plans. So a PM elected by 80000 (many of whom do not reside or pay tax in the UK) is refusing a democratically elected body to do its job. Comparisons have also been made with Thatchers “the lady is not for turning” comment. Black Wednesday 1992 might be a better comparison. I won a tenner on “Earth Summit” in the Grand National in 1998!

Meanwhile the Daily Fail leads with a disturbing report about a Stephen Lawrence murder. Whilst sickening and disturbing, it is not as significant as a the financial crisis. However if the murderer is todays choice to hate I suppose I should not complain.
