Yes – I grew up being told he was a Great War leader. Of this there is little doubt that he had stoicism, charisma and made some great speeches. However, like all individuals he had his flaws – but unlike most of us, his flaws were very serious flaws. He was an out and out racist, he was a priviged fuck who sent troops in against union members and was discarded by the British Public in 1955 when they finally realised that a jingoistic fuckwit was no longer fit to lead this country!
And the right wing fuck buddies are distraught because – he is being replaced on banknotes by wildlife! Oh I love their gammon faces and choking. The Bank of England did poll people before making the decision and it was 60% in favour of wildlife, 38% historic figures and in between 56% architecture and landscapes. So greater than the 52-48 vote that ruined Britain and was seen as inviolate by the right-wing. Incidentally – why were the right wing so committed to leave the EU?
