So what is Woke and what is its antonym is still troubling me. To me being woke is caring about others regardless of race, religion, sexuality, disability, whatever. I accept that some people take this to extremes – a blackboard is a blackboard not a chalk board (if they still exist!), manhole covers are just that. I am sure there other much more ridiculous definitions of extremism on the woke side. But the rhetoric of anti-woke seems to be anti-caring about others, anti-empathy, anti-democratic and smacks of totalitarianism.
I am sure I can be held accountable for comments about all conservatives, although to be fair it is the MP’s they voted for who are pushing through anti-democratic laws and undermining the very fabric of the UK.
So the antonym – is not possible in one word I think. I have seen posts suggesting words like practical (not living in a dream world), anti-communism.
